Stan Esecson
Executive Producer/Producer/Aerial Cinematographer

Stan Esecson is a multi Emmy Award winning producer with an extensive body of work for corporate clients in a broad range of industries.
Trading as YNR Marketing, the body of work includes many exclusive names in the USA. His special interest is in aerial HD cinematography and personally brings a stunning dimension to the film. At YNR the philosophy is simple.

Ross Isaacs
Director / Producer / Underwater Cinematographer

Emmy nominated cinematographer, Ross Isaacs has over thirty years experience as an underwater photographer, cinematographer and film maker. He has produced a number of books and documentary films on whales.
Ross' home base is Port Douglas in far North Queensland, Australia, adjacent to the most spectacular locations on the Great Barrier Reef. His experience includes major features films, television drama, nature documentaries, as well as television commercials.
Originally conceiving this film on humpback whales, since 2001 he has completed many expeditions to Hawaii and Alaska to shoot this project. Specializing in natural history, He has worked with some prestigious organizations such as National Geographic Television and BBC Natural History Unit, and has sold his own documentary films in over 50 countries. He brings a special understanding of the main subject of this film.

Producer

Michelle Addington is an Award winning producer working for YNR Marketing in the USA. Her body of work includes many exclusive names in the US making up a broad client base. She has a special interest in ocean and Hawaiian cultural subjects which brings a nice dimension to this film. |
Bill Holshevnikoff
Director of Photography

Bill Holshevnikoff has been lighting and shooting award-winning broadcast, commercial and Emmy-winning documentary programming for over 25 years. He has created stunning imagery and lighting effects for clients such as Ritz-Carlton, Marriott Resorts, Four Seasons, Mercedes-Benz, Infinity, Cisco Systems, and for television networks in Mexico, China, Korea, and throughout the Europe.
Also considered a leader in lighting education, Bill’s experience as a lighting educator includes the production of over a dozen highly successful lighting education videos, his own Power of Lighting Video Series, and over 100 featured articles in popular trade publications, such as American Cinematographer, DV and Video Systems Magazines. Since 1992, Bill has completed four 30-city educational lighting lecture tours across the U.S. and Canada.
His workshops have been attended by thousands of industry professionals from around the globe.

Michael Bright
Writer

Michael Bright is an award-winning wildlife film producer and author, recently retired from the BBC’s Natural History Unit in Bristol, England. Since 1971, he has written and produced many natural history and science programmes, both on radio and television, including Men, Nations and Whales (Prix Italia) Polar Bear Battlefield (Japan and Shanghai), and Shark Battlefield (Jackson Hole and Antibes), and was series producer on British Isles: A Natural History (Jackson Hole).
His HD documentary Ant Attack was nominated for best script at the Missoula Wildlife Film Festival and Wildscreen 2006. He is author of over 75 natural history and travel books, including Wild Caribbean (BBC), Beasts of the Field (Robson), Giants of the Ocean (Anness), Andes to Amazon (BBC), Sharks (Smithsonian), Dolphins (Dorling Kindersley), Maneaters (Robson) and There are Giants in the Sea (Robson), and contributing editor to 1001 Natural Wonders (Barrons), The Wildlife Year (Reader’s Digest, 1996) and Exploring the Secrets of Nature (Reader’s Digest).
He is currently in post-production with an HD film about rattlesnakes for National Geographic Channel and writing Knucklehead a children’s book about humpback whales and You Should Have Been Here Yesterday about the history of wildlife film-making, celebrating the NHU’s 50th anniversary and the centenary of commercial wildlife film-making. |

Emmy nominated editor, Andy Netley has been cutting documentaries for the last 20 years and for the last seven years he has specialised in editing natural history programmes, the lion's share of which has been for the BBC Natural History Unit. Recent credits include Life of Mammals and Planet Earth for the BBC, several programmes in the BBC’s Natural World series, as well as other high-profile films for National Geographic television and Tigress Productions. |
Kate Hopkins
Sound Editor

Emmy award winning sound editor, Kate Hopkins has been cutting documentaries for the last 20 years and specialises in editing natural history programmes. She regularly works on many of the Blue Chip documentary series for the BBC Natural History Unit. Recent credits include Blue Planet and Planet Earth. Kate has a string of awards for her work on many high profile films. |
Barnaby Taylor
Composer

Barnaby Taylor is an established composer for film and television. He has scored landmark BBC series including ‘Wild China’, ‘Ganges’, ‘Journey of Life, ‘Wild New World’ and the award-winning ‘Europe: A Natural History’.
He has worked for the BBC on major strands such as ‘The Natural World’, ‘Wildlife on One’, and ‘Horizon’. His work for independents includes the BAFTA-nominated ‘My Foetus’, and the award-winning documentary, ‘Shooting Under Fire’.
Barnaby has worked with the Royal Philharmonic and BBC Concert Orchestras, and with some of Britain’s leading instrumentalists.
Barnaby is currently working on a variety of natural history, documentary and drama projects, including BBC series, ‘Nature’s Great Events’, and the Natural World documentary, ‘Tiger Hounds’.

William Goodchild
Composer

William composes and produces music for film and television specialising in natural history and history documentary. Recent broadcast natural history commissions include ‘Lobo – the Wolf that Changed America’ (BBC Natural World and Thirteen/ WNET, 2008), ‘Bearman’ (Channel 5 and National Geographic) and ‘Peter Scott – a Passion for Nature’ (BBC 2, 2007). History features have included ‘Athens – the Truth about Democracy’ (Channel 4, 2007), ‘When the Moors Ruled in Europe’ (Channel 4, 2006) and ‘Ancient Worlds Brought to Life’ (Reader’s Digest, 2006).
William works regularly with a number of international and national orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the London Metropolitan Orchestra, the Emerald Chamber Orchestra and the BMCO. As conductor and orchestrator he has undertaken numerous projects for the BBC including several major natural history series such as ‘Wild China’ (2008), ‘Ganges’ (2007), and ‘Europe – a Natural History’ (2005) and has recorded for Sony Classical, Universal Classical and Jazz, and CBS Records. He has collaborated with soloists as diverse as John Williams, Andy Sheppard, members of the Maggini Quartet, Natalie Lomeiko, Alasdair Malloy, O-Duo and Tom Jones.
